Update: From The Farm

This spring and summer was BUSY! Not only did we have a successful kidding season with every doe giving birth to twins, but we also are busily improving our farm.

We ended up retaining five doeling kids to grow out as replacements. They are already showing great growth rates, easy handling, and superior structure. On a very exciting note, we added FOUR new ABGA registered traditional Boer goats to our herd! Outlander the fullblood buck, Jenny (purebred), Juicy (percentage), and June (purebred). Please see our DOES and BUCKS page for registration numbers and more information on these new additions. Why is this so exciting? Because our family’s long term goal of providing great registered breeding and show stock to our community is beginning to take shape.

With a successful breeding and kidding season under our belt, we spent the summer and fall caring for our wonderful nannies and kids. With hands-on care (ok… I love to spend a lot of time hanging out with our goats, but they like it too I think) and good nutrition, our does are ready to breed to Outlander THIS MONTH! We cant wait to see what our new herdsire produces and we promise to keep you updated. If you are interested in email updates or are looking for a specific, high quality Boer goat, please visit our contact page and send me an email!

This spring we are also planning on offering farm raised chicks and possibly some farm workshops so keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates if you would like to start your own flock.
